MY STORY
Why MathsCraft Tuition?
My name is Qasim, and I’m a full-time secondary mathematics teacher with over 5 years of experience, including 3 years teaching abroad and more than 3 years tutoring online and in person using an iPad.
I enjoy helping students develop their problem-solving skills and gain confidence, guiding them from confusion to mastery. My teaching combines logic, reasoning, subject knowledge, and a focus on meta-cognition, especially for exams.
I tailor my explanations with detailed drawings or straightforward approaches based on the student and topic. I use a step-by-step modelling method, often with color coding, to ensure understanding.
Lessons typically include clear examples, questioning, and gradual progression to challenge students and build their confidence. I’m experienced with Edexcel, AQA, and OCR for GCSE and A level.
